The original ita indexes were of relatively low spatial accuracy. New, more accurate indexes were required for orthorectification purposes (mesabi range project). New indexes were created by: 1) Obtaining the world files from the polynomial-rectified images produced by Itasca county 2) Calculating rectified photo centers based on the upper left corner coords given in the world files and calculating a standard offset (see /home/kenboss/photo_process/itaIdxFromWF.pl). 3) Outputting a shapefile from the above process. 4) The original index contained five more photos than the new index. These appear to have been either unrectifiable owing to water area or too close to their neighbor to be worth rectifying. The points for those photos have been copied from the original index to the new one. The original indexes have been saved in the "old" directory underneath this one.
